Westwood Oaks is a mid-sized development bordering Sunnyvale and Cupertino in southwest Santa Clara. The development consists of about 700 homes, and was built in stages by well-known developer David Bohannon. The homes are mainly single level ranch style homes, with several varying floor plans. In addition, Bohannon alternated between the classic ranch style and a model that featured mid-century modern elements. Along Pruneridge Ave. on the western side of the creek he developed a few two-level homes with below-grade garages.
Westwood Oaks homes were well received for their design and most homes fell within the property boundaries of the desirable Cupertino school district. With a small portion along the north side of the tract belonging to the Santa Clara unified school district.
